Parent's Letter Jan. 31st.

Dear Parents:


I would like to inform you of the following:
  • Open House is on Monday Jan. 31s Day from 8:30-11:30.
  • Tuesday Individual Picture Day.
  • Tuesday Early Dismissal @ 12:00 - Report Card Day from 2:00- 7:00
  • Mass @ 9:00 (Full uniform).
  • The children should practice writing their name at home.
  • Please, make sure your child goes to the bathroom before entering the classroom.

Parent's Letter Jan. 24th-28th

Dear Parents,

I would like to inform you of the following concepts the children will be covering:
  • Religion-Bible Stories.
  • Math- Subtraction.
  • Reading- Letter and sound recognition of the letters H h, I i, J j, and K k; write them also.
  • Science- Health, nutrition, Body parts (skeleton, muscle, skin, head, shoulders, knees, and toe.
  • Social Studies-Safety signs in a community.
  • Review homework with your child.
  • Picture Day envelopes will be sent home. Please, sent it back to Mrs. Resto.

Parent's Letter Jan. 17th

Dear Parents,

I would like to inform you of what your child should practice every day:
  • Letter / sound recognition of the letters Aa-Kk.
  • Writing the letters from Aa-Kk.
  • Rhyming words, which are words that sound alike, e.g. cat and hat, cake and bake.
  • Counting from 0-10.
  • Number recognition and values- 0-10.
  • Writing the numbers 0-10.
  • Writing the child's name.
  • Numer sequence, 1,2,3,4...
  • Read to your child every night.
  • We need tissues, wipes, clorox wipes, paper towel.

Parent's Letter Jan. 4th

Dear Parents'

I would like to inform you of the the concepts the children will be working on:

1- Religion- God Create Us All

2- Math- Identifying and creating groups of objects from 6-10

3- Reading- Recognizing the sound /k/ in initial position as in kite.

4- Science- Hygiene

5-Social Studies- Communities and neighborhoods

6- Story Time- Stories relate to winter.

Also, I would like to inform you that we need wipes, tissues, paper towel, and

clorox wipes.

Jan. 4th Parents letter

Dear Parents,

I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Also, the teachers aid and I would like to thank you for your lovely gifts.

I would like to inform you of the new concepts that will be covered during this month, as well as others covered before:
  • Letter sound recognition, writing the letters of the alphabet, recognize words that begins with specific letters - a letter per week;
  • Rhyming words, which are words that sound alike, e.g. cat and hat, cake and bake;
  • Counting forward from 0-10 and backwards from 10-0;
  • Number recognition and value - 0-10 (beans and coins are used to visually reassert the value of each number;
  • Writing the numbers from 0-10
  • Number sequence, ex. 1,2,3,4...;
  • Bible stories;
Finally, please read to your child every night and have conversations with them.
Conversation is an important learned social skill.
